PARTS INCLUDED
Each decking consists of two end channels (a .75" notched U-channel) and an appropriate number of cross channels (a 2.5" C-Channel).

PREPARATION
Care should be taken in transporting and handling the parts. Store the decking indoors in a dry place until use. Do not store other items on top of decking. If stacking pallets, you must ensure that the weight is being supported by the wooden packaging, not by the decking material.

INSTALLATION
Place an end channel on the step of each beam. When facing the decking from the aisle, All end channels must be flush with the left side, leaving an appropriate flue on the right side. For best results, insert #10 Tek screws in one of the end channels, and leave the other end channel loose. Next, snap all of the cross channels in place. Cross channels should snap into a notched section with firm pressure. You will usually hear a “ping" when the pieces are properly engaged. Hammers or mallets should not be required. Once the decking is assembled, Tek screw the remaining end channel in place.

For end channels shorter than 90", we recommend a minimum of 2 TEK screws per end channel, inserted at the 1/3 points. For end channels longer than 90", we recommend a minimum of 3 TEK screws, inserted at the center and at the 1/4 points. For heavier loads where additional lateral support is needed to prevent rack beam spreading, 4 or more TEK screw may be used. Please consult the rack manufacturer’s specifications for information regarding required front to back supports. After installation is complete, inspect the decking to ensure that all channels are level and fully inserted. Channels should not be higher than the face of the step beam.

Maintenance
In the event of a damaged cross channel, individual channels may be removed and replaced. Simply squeeze the bottom flanges of the cross channel together and pull up.
